York House is located in the heart of Dublin city and provides short-term accommodation to single males over the age of 18.
We offer-person centred programmes that relate to mental health, addiction, cooking classes, mindfulness, employment, budgeting and gardening.
There is now an opportunity to be a part of this inspiring team at our York House service as a Night Assistant Support Worker on a Fixed Term 12month Contract.
As an experienced Night Assistant Support Worker with a background in homeless services you will be responsible for taking a lead role in key working and programme management to plan and deliver a high quality support service which promotes client choice and which is designed to develop life skills and support residents in securing private accommodation in the wider community.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by homeless and vulnerable clientsExperience of working with vulnerable individuals
Values of integrity and accountability within working practice
Ability to manage own workload
The position of Night Assistant Support Worker is ideal for anyone wishing to begin their career in social care.
€15.99 per hour based on a 39 hr per week contract. You will also be paid a Night shift premium (18%) plus a Sunday premium (75%) for any Sunday nights worked.- Sector:
