Temporary Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client, a leading organisation, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Finance Specialist to join their dynamic team on 12-month temporary basis with potential for more. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth financial operation of trial payments and providing essential business support to the overall department's team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficient vendor creation and meticulous management.
  • Accurate Purchase Order (PO) creation and ongoing maintenance.
  • Strategic tracking of trial budgets against created POs
  • Proactive issue resolution for rejected invoices.
  • Diligent follow-up with vendors for outstanding invoices.
  • Ensure full understanding and adherence to all relevant procurement, legal, and financial requirements and procedures.
  • Proactively identify, clearly communicate, and effectively resolve any financial or process-related issues.
  • Responsible for in-depth analysis and comprehensive reporting derived from various Metrics ERP systems.
  • Maintain a strong operational relationship with external third-party providers.
  • Anticipate and effectively monitor dynamically changing priorities to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide constructive feedback and actively participate in shared learning initiatives to drive continuous process improvement.
  • Contribute to the business planning and budgeting process, completing thorough analysis and meeting all budget reporting requirements.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of demonstrable experience within an accounts payable or general accounting function.
  • Qualification within an Accounting, Finance or Business discipline.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken) Essential.
  • Fluent in Polish (both written and spoken) Desirable.
  • A strong appreciation of and/or experience working within a compliance-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to learn and adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Excellent ability to handle complexity and utilise strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional ability to effectively prioritise and complete key tasks and deliverables to meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to actively listen and communicate effectively.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a global team environment and communicate effectively with both internal business partners across all levels and disciplines, as well as external partners and vendors.
