Senior Procurement Specialist

PM Group's OTS (Outsourced Technical Services) department are currently seeking to recruit a Quality Manager to be based in our clients Bio Pharmaceutical facility based in South Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible procurement related duties within the CAPEX and Engineering Services.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Management:
Build strong relationships with suppliers, preparation of detyailed RFI's and negotiate on contracts, assist in vendor selection using key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure quality and service levels.
  • Cost Management:
Drive cost savings through negotiations, identifying cost-reduction opportunities, and implementing efficient purchasing processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to strict pharmaceutical industry regulations and internal policies.
  • Risk Mitigation:
Proactively manage supply chain risks, such as potential shortages or disruptions, and ensure a reliable supply of necessary materials.
  • Stakeholder Management:
Work alongside both internal and external stakeholders, fostering a customer -focused and cost-conscious culture.
  • Collaboration:
Partner with other departments, including finance, quality, operations, and global procurement teams, to align strategies and achieve site-specific objectives.
  • Skills and Qualifications
  • Procurement Expertise:
Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and negotiation techniques particulary within the Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, including manufacturing and regulatory environments.
  • Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze proposal documentation, monitor KPIs, and identify opportunities for cost and quality improvement.
  • Communication:
Proven ability in communications, manage stakeholders, and communicate effectively with both internal departments and external suppliers.
  • Regulatory Acumen:

Understanding of relevant pharmaceutical regulations (e.g., cGMP) and the ability to ensure compliance.
