This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance.

The participant will receive full training in all aspects of the placement. There will be a mentor to guide and coach the participant. They will assist and learn the day-to-day tasks of the placement in the daily running and operations as an Engineering Assistant, over the 6 months they will:

Assist and be mentored with projects by Senior Engineering staff
Assist and be mentored in Surveying using equipment
Train & assist in planning, data processing and project co-ordination
Assist with documentation in line with work requirements
Train and assist in Health & Safety
Assist and be mentored in Construction Software

Mentored with communication skills and teamwork
