Working within a high-performing team, this Assistant Merchandise Planner will play a key role in supporting sales performance, optimising product distribution, and leveraging data insights to drive decision-making. This position offers a unique chance to gain exposure to major global retail brands and make a measurable impact on trading operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of merchandise plans and inventory strategies.
- Analyze sales performance, stock levels, and trends to support decision-making.
- Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Work closely with the Buying, Merchandising, and Allocation teams to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Support the creation of financial forecasts and assist in budgeting processes.
- Conduct data analysis to identify risks and opportunities for sales growth.
- Utilize Excel to create complex reports, dashboards, and data models.
- Assist in markdown planning and promotional strategies to drive profitability.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and stock reconciliations.
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, or a related role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Merchandising, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel. Experience with merchandise planning systems and business intelligence tools is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
