The Chef de Partie is responsible for overseeing the preparation and production of food within their assigned section, ensuring that all products are prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency, presentation, and food safety. The role involves supervising and supporting junior team members, delegating tasks effectively, and assisting with the training and development of new staff.
The Chef de Partie maintains a clean, organised, and hygienic work area, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations. Responsibilities include monitoring stock levels, minimising waste through effective stock rotation practices, and reporting any shortages or quality concerns to senior management.
Working closely with colleagues across all sections, the Chef de Partie contributes to the smooth operation of the kitchen or bakery, communicates effectively regarding operational issues, and supports service requirements as needed. The role also involves assisting with menu and product development, contributing creative ideas, and maintaining strict quality control standards.
The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to Bread 41's values and culture. They will foster a respectful and collaborative working environment, arrive punctually for scheduled shifts, and be willing to support other areas of the operation when required.A minimum of two years' relevant experience is required. This is a full-time position based on a 39-hour working week.
