Barmal Hospitality Ltd, Thomas Street, Dublin 8 are searching for a Head Chef.
We are a traditional Irish pub located in the heart of Dublin, known for our warm hospitality, lively atmosphere, and classic Irish cuisine. Our pub has been a staple in the Liberties for years, attracting both locals and tourists alike. We pride ourselves on serving hearty, delicious food that complements our wide selection of drinks.
Having established a good reputation over the years, we're looking for someone looking to grow with us. Our approach has always been restaurant quality but in pub environment. As a result we've built up a great reputation and now our food is at the forefront of what we do.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for Irish cuisine, and the ability to maintain the high standards our customers have come to expect. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves the buzz of a busy kitchen and wants to make their mark in a well-loved establishment.
This is a full time position with an hourly requirement of 35 - 45 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Development: Design and create a menu that reflects traditional Irish fare with modern twists.Team Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate the kitchen staff, ensuring a high level of performance and morale.
Quality Control: Oversee all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene. -Ensure that every dish leaving the kitchen meets our high standards.
Stock Management: Order ingredients, manage inventory, and reduce waste.
Cost Management: Monitor food costs, maintain budgets, and ensure profitability without compromising on quality.
Health and Safety: Ensure the kitchen adheres to all health and safety regulations. -Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role, ideally within a pub or restaurant environment.Strong knowledge of traditional Irish cuisine and a passion for creating dishes that celebrate local flavors.
Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
What We Offer:
