We are currently looking for an ambitious, high-achieving graduate to join our team as a Trainee Accountant. The Role
As a Trainee Accountant, you will work across a diverse portfolio of clients—ranging from Cork’s thriving indigenous SMEs to large international multinationals. You will gain hands-on experience from day one, rotating through key areas of the business to ensure a well-rounded professional foundation.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting audit teams in the field, performing substantive testing, and gaining exposure to various business operations.
- Assisting in the preparation of year-end financial statements in compliance with FRS 102 and IFRS.
- Preparing VAT, Corporation Tax, and RCT returns while learning the fundamentals of Irish tax legislation.
- Helping prepare management accounts and KPIs to provide our clients with real-time business insights.
- Developing professional relationships and acting as a point of contact for information gathering and query resolution.
What We Are Looking For:
- A minimum 2.1 honors degree (Accounting, Business, or related discipline preferred). CAP1/Professional level exemptions are a distinct advantage.
- A natural aptitude for numbers and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and engage professionally with clients.
