Role Overview
A Construction Worker is required to support building and maintenance works within a live hospital environment. The role involves general labouring duties, assisting trades, and ensuring all work is carried out safely, cleanly, and with minimal disruption to hospital operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Construction Duties
Carry out labouring tasks including lifting, loading, and moving materials.
Assist trades such as carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and plasterers.
Support installation works including partitions, ceilings, flooring, and fittings.
Prepare and clean work areas before and after tasks.
Work in Live Environment
Operate carefully within an active hospital setting.
Follow strict guidelines to minimise noise, dust, and disruption.
Maintain clean and controlled workspaces at all times.
Respect restricted areas and hospital protocols.
Health & Safety
Adhere to strict health & safety and infection control procedures.
Use PPE appropriately, including any additional hospital-required gear.
Follow site inductions and hygiene standards.
Report hazards or incidents immediately.
Site Support
Assist with deliveries and material distribution.
Maintain site organisation and cleanliness.
Follow instructions from supervisors and site management.
Requirements
Previous construction experience preferred.
Valid Safe Pass
Manual Handling certification.
Strong awareness of health & safety.
Ability to work in sensitive environments.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
