RECENTLY QUALIFIED ACCOUNTANT

RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Service & Accounts Preparation- Prepare and finalise financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- File income and corporation tax returns via ROS and in-house systems
- Prepare and review VAT returns, PAYE submissions, and management accounts
- Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and gather information
- Support the onboarding of new clients, ensuring proper system setup
- Stay current with Irish accounting standards and Revenue compliance
- Deliver work that meets internal quality standards and client expectations
- Take part in internal training and CPD sessions to build technical and advisory skills
- Assist with technical research, ad hoc queries, and partner-led advisory work
- Help improve internal processes and share best practices with junior staff
- Support senior team members with mentoring and basic review tasks
- ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified (or equivalent), ideally with 1+ year post-qualification experience
- Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP, tax legislation, and Revenue systems
- Proficient with accounting tools such as Surf, Sage, Relate, Thesaurus, and ROS
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general office applications
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage direct client interactions
- Able to juggle multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- High attention to detail and accountability for quality of work
- Familiarity with cloud tools like Xero, AutoEntry, or QuickBooks
- Experience with clients in medical, retail, or hospitality sectors
- Interest in expanding into client advisory or strategic planning
