Senior Accountant

Our client, a well-established company experiencing excellent growth over the past few years, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to advance your career by covering for the Financial Controller when required and contributing to the company's continued success and growth.
This role if based full-time in the office.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of Monthly Management accounts, including explanation of Budget Variance, Expense Analysis, and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of Annual Budgets, Forecasts, and Cashflows.
- Conduct ongoing financial modelling reflecting budget variances.
- Monitor, report, and ensure that all customer billing is up to date.
- Implement cost control measures, identify areas for improvement, and drive change accordingly.
- Manage debtors and ensure adherence to company payment terms across all locations.
- Produce regular internal business management and financial information, including KPIs.
- Perform performance review and analysis by market (e.g., Revenue by Market, Margin Analysis by Market/Product/Customer/Rep).
- Liaise with suppliers regarding invoicing and banking.
- Manage banking operations.
- Oversee Revenue returns for various jurisdictions, including Intra Stat/VIES/RTD.
- Handle external audits for various jurisdictions.
- Maintain and promote the business model, including switch docs, customs issues, and export invoicing.
- Introduce and maintain new procedures and efficiencies as required.
- Ensure good governance of the finance function.
- Play an active role in IT strategy and assist with ongoing projects.
- Assist the Financial Controller as required.
Requirements:
- ACA/CA/CIMA/CPA Accountancy Qualification.
- Post-qualification experience working within the industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage) and MS Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
