Care Support Worker | Intellectual Disability Services | Ennis, Co. Clare
Salary: €38,000 – €52,000 (DOE)Hours: Full-time
Contract: Fixed-term with potential for permanency
Supporting Independence Through Community-Based Care
This role is suited to Care Support Workers who want to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in a community-focused, person-centred environment.
You’ll work within a service focused on:
Independence and daily living skillsCommunity participation and inclusion
Consistent, relationship-based support
Respect, dignity and safeguarding
This is practical, hands-on support work where consistency, trust and professional standards are central to the role.
What You’ll DoSupport individuals with intellectual disabilities in daily routines and activities
Encourage independence, confidence and life skill development
Assist with community engagement, appointments and social participation
Provide consistent day-to-day support aligned with individual care plans
Promote dignity, choice and inclusion in everyday life
Work within HIQA standards and safeguarding procedures
Collaborate with Social Care Workers and wider multidisciplinary teams
What You’ll NeedRelevant qualification in Social Care, Healthcare Support or related discipline preferred
Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities or similar care settings
Reliable, practical and people-focused approach
Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional care standards
Manual Handling & First Aid (in date or willingness to update)
