Senior Agri Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical driven Design Engineer (3 years plus) with a background in agricultural engineering to work on innovative farm system layouts and product designs. The position requires strong CAD capability, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver precise, manufacturable solutions.

The suitable candidate will be required to have :

• Strong experience in the design and layout of farm buildings and design for the animal flow
• Experience creating manufacturing drawings and being able to communicate job requirements clearly and concisely
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specify componentsand ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
• Research and develop ideas for new products. Prototype through to test
• Communicating with Marketing and Sales
• Including other duties as needed and assigned

R E Q U I R E M E N T S :

• Knowledge of the principles of design, sketching, CAD, industrial materials and processes, manufacturing methods,and engineering
• Creativity and technical knowledge are essential
• Strong communication skills - visual, verbal, and written
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
• Strong knowledge of the Agriculture sector
• Logically and technically minded with excellent organisational and personal management skills
• Knowledge of materials and ability to cost projects asrequired
• Incorporating the many disciplines in MechanicalEngineering. - incl Livestock handling, feeding and automated systems Animal welfare science, and safety
• Full clean driving license
