Our client, a leading engineering design consultancy based in Cork, is seeking a Junior to Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary design team, contributing to the delivery of mechanical building services designs from concept through to construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical building services systems
- Produce calculations, specifications, and technical drawings
- Support senior engineers on projects across multiple sectors
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and best practices
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Experience in mechanical building services design (junior to intermediate level)
- Familiarity with Irish / UK building regulations and standards
- Experience with design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, IES, or similar)
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Motivation to learn and progress within a consultancy environment
