Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
This position is based at the Simon Community emergency shelter in Barrack Street, Dundalk and involve cooking basic, nutritious food for groups (service users and residents). Duties also include preparing and checking food and supplies as well as placing orders and stock control.Strong emphasis on health and safety and hygiene and role involves ensuring that kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and hygienic. Compulsory training provided in this area. Great opportunity to gain experience in a busy kitchen setting with in house mentoring and support.
Opportunity also to avail of funded training up to major award level which can significantly improve long term work prospects. Position is part time and may involve shift work.
