Part Time Sales Assistant

You will be responsible for assisting customers, processing transactions, and maintaining store standards during your scheduled shifts.

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service, assisting customers with product enquiries and purchases
• Process sales transactions accurately using the till system and payment methods
• Maintain product displays and ensure stock is well-organised and clearly labelled
• Support the team in receiving and checking deliveries, and replenishing shelves as required
• Keep the store clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards
• Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary
• Contribute to achieving sales targets through positive engagement with customers
• Assist with stock takes and inventory management as directed
• Follow company policies and procedures, including those specific to the Castlebar location

• Strong customer service and people skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues
• Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and processing transactions
• Reliable time keeping and ability to work flexibly within scheduled part-time hours
• Physical capability to lift and move stock items safely

• Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment
• Knowledge of sports products or retail operations
• Experience using till systems or point-of-sale technology
• Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues

• GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Mathematics
• First Aid certification or willingness to undertake training
