About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join the finance department of a leading engineering company based in Dublin City Centre. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of accounting functions, supporting the financial operations of a dynamic and technically driven business.
You will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, assisting with daily transactions, and contributing to the smooth running of the department in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Salary: €30,000-€35,000

- Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with customer invoicing and monitoring outstanding debtors.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations.
- Monitor cash transactions and ensure accurate posting.
- Support treasury activities as required.
- Post journals and maintain accurate ledger entries.
- Assist in preparing month-end accounts and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Process employee expense claims in line with company policy.
- Provide administrative support to payroll processing.
- Assist in preparing financial reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Support audit preparation and respond to auditor queries.
- 1-2 years' experience in an accounts or finance role.
- Exposure to accounts payable/receivable processes preferred.
- Experience in a busy finance environment is an advantage.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Experience using accounting software, with SAP strongly preferred.
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
