They are looking for an experienced insurance professional to take real ownership of an established portfolio in Cork, balancing client retention with organic commercial growth.

The Impact

You will manage both new and existing commercial accounts, working directly with the Regional Director to execute an evolving business pipeline. This position goes beyond everyday renewals; you will act as a trusted corporate partner to businesses, sharing expert advice that empowers them to make highly informed risk decisions.

You will also guide and mentor designated Account Executives, helping to manage client requirements and claims protocols effectively across the division. Your strategic input will directly impact income retention, new business acquisition, and regional growth targets.

Foundations for Success

To effectively lead this portfolio, you need a strong commercial background alongside the essential technical and regulatory baselines:

  • SME Experience: A minimum of 5 years of commercial experience specifically focused within the SME sector.
  • Professional Credentials: At least CIP qualified, with a clear commitment to studying toward your ACII.
  • Regulatory Alignment: Fully compliant with the Central Bank's Minimum Competency Code and Fitness & Probity standards.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep technical insurance product insight paired with previous experience using Open I systems.
  • Negotiation Skills: An excellent background in client relationships and a clear understanding of how to balance price against risk.
