Repairit Douglas is a busy mobile phone and computer repair shop serving the local community. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and quality repairs.

The Role:

We're looking for a reliable, tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Customer Service & Repair Trainee. You'll be the friendly face of our business while learning valuable hands-on repair skills for mobile phones and laptops. This is a unique opportunity to develop both customer service expertise and technical repair knowledge in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Greet customers, understand their device issues, and explain repair processes
Phone Management: Answer calls, provide quotes, and schedule appointments
Device Intake: Log devices for repair, complete paperwork, and issue receipts
Basic Administration: Manage appointment bookings and customer communications
Repair Training & Assistance: Learn hands-on mobile phone and laptop repair techniques under supervision

Shop Coverage: Potential to cover holidays and Saturday shifts as you gain experience

What We're Looking For:

Basic tech knowledge: Familiarity with smartphones, tablets, and computers (personal use is fine!)
Manual dexterity: Comfortable working with small components and tools
Excellent communication skills: Comfortable speaking with customers face-to-face and over the phone
Reliability: Punctual, trustworthy, and committed to your scheduled hours
Student-friendly: We understand study commitments and exam periods

Learning mindset: Genuine interest in learning device repair techniques and troubleshooting

What We Offer:

Competitive hourly rate: €14/hour
Flexible scheduling: Perfect for students - work around your college timetable
Growth opportunities: More hours available as business grows, including Saturday work
Hands-on technical training: Learn valuable phone and laptop repair skills from an experienced technician
Valuable experience: Gain customer service and technical knowledge
Training provided: Full training on our systems, common device issues, and repair techniques

Holiday cover opportunities: Extra income during college breaks

Ideal Candidate:

We're particularly interested in students studying IT, engineering, electronics, or related fields, but all enthusiastic candidates with genuine interest in technology are welcome. Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not essential.

Most importantly, you should have steady hands and genuine curiosity about how devices work.
