Trainee/Part Qualified Accountant New

Role Overview:

My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee or Part Qualifed Accountant to join their small but busy accountancy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in accounting, gain hands-on experience, and work towards a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent).

Tralee based

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Support the production of management accounts and financial reports
• Perform bookkeeping duties using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
• Reconcile bank statements and maintain client ledgers
• Assist in the preparation and filing of VAT returns and tax returns
• Liaise with clients by phone and email regarding queries and documentation
• Support with payroll processing and related compliance tasks
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
• Carry out administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or working towards)
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
• Eagerness to learn and develop within the accounting profession
