Process Development Engineer Laser System & Processes
Job Specification: Process Development Engineer (12 Month Contract)
Role Overview: To develop and optimise manufacturing processes for our innovative urology product. This role involves working with cutting-edge implantable technology and fluidics to significantly enhance patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, design, and evaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical materials, components, assemblies, processes, and equipment.
- Innovate, design, and develop processes, procedures, tooling, and/or automation.
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess manufacturing process capacity and capability.
- Process and equipment validation techniques (IQ, OQ, PQ), PFMEA's, and regulatory requirements to ensure timely and efficient validation of equipment and processes.
- Coordinate and document validation builds, testing, and reporting of validation results.
- Ensure proper documentation to meet quality system requirements (e.g., BOMs, Routers, FMEAs).
- Work closely with machine vendors to ensure equipment is designed, built, and tested according to specifications and properly handed over to manufacturing.
Essential Skills:
- Experience with Laser Systems & Laser materials processing (Welding, Marking, Cutting, etc.).
- Experience with electronic implantable devices.
- Knowledge of CNC code or CAD/CAM.
- Experience with 3D printing.

On-Site Requirement:
- This role requires a minimum of 4 days per week on-site.
The start date is for ASAP. The initial contract length is for 12 months, with multiple options to extension after the initial period. The role is based in County Tipperary and will require 4-5 days onsite per week. The rate is €45-50 per hour, depending on experience, if you have any expenses please let me know and I can factor that into the rate for you.
