Senior Financial Analyst, Leo EMEA Accounting

To support this launch, the EMEA Accounting team in Cork is recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst, to support local statutory compliance and US GAAP reporting.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Responsible for month end close activities including reviews, balance sheet reconciliations and analytics
- Business partnering with other Amazon teams, including Finance, Treasury, Tax, Public Relations, Transfer Pricing and Corporate Legal
- Collaborating with global Accounting teams to identify opportunities for enhanced standardization
- Preparation of high quality financial statements across a range of accounting frameworks;
- Preparation of statutory trial balances including identification and posting of local GAAP adjustments;
- Supporting external audit process;
- Demonstrating strong technical accounting acumen to be able to conclude on accounting treatment for complex business related transactions;
- Being a strong team player, who can operate globally, cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization, taking ownership and demonstrating self-initiative.

About the teamAmazon Affinity Groups
- Experience with accounting and financial reporting, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and / or a multinational organization
- Certified accountant qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent)- Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Knowledge of IFRS or other accounting frameworks;
- Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - Experience managing multiple projects with competing schedules
