Applications are invited for the following post:
Technician Analytical Chemistry (Specified Purpose Wholetime) Reference: 120/2026
The Technician will be responsible to the President, Director, Head of Schl, Head of Discipline, and Senior Technical Officer/Technical Officer for the administration and development of technical facilities within University, Faculty/Function, Schl, Department, Function level.
The appointee will be required to work closely with students, management, academic, technical and other staff.Hours of Work: A 36.5-hour working week is in operation. This can be reviewed by collective agreement, with the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science. Having regard to the nature of the work, attendance outside these hours may be required from time-to-time
Location: The post will be based on Tallaght campus. Regular attendance at other sites will be required.
Salary:The successful candidate will be appointed at point (01) of the Technician Salary Scale i.e. €39,696 – €55,987 gross per annum (new entrants) unless the arrangements set out in Circular Letter 13/2006 apply.
