Are you an experienced Maintenance manager, ready to take the next step in your career? Our client, a well-established food production facility in Bandon, Co. Cork, is seeking a Engineering/maintenance Manager to lead and support their engineering function across automated and semi-automated production lines.

This maintenance manager job has come about due to the current encumbent retiring.
As Engineering/maintenance Manager, you will:
- Lead and support maintenance operations across automated production lines.
- Work hands-on within a close-knit engineering team, driving continuous improvement.
- Execute both planned and reactive preventative maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns swiftly to minimise downtime.
- Manage spare parts procurement and liaise with external service providers.
- Contribute to project management initiatives (experience a plus, not essential).
The Ideal Candidate:
- Formal electrical qualification
- 8+ years of proven experience in both mechanical and electrical fault finding.
- Strong understanding of pneumatic systems is highly advantageous.
- Self-motivated with excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of industrial control instrumentation and PLC-based automation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
- Prior experience with modern industrial food production machinery (e.g. mixers, depositors, wrappers) is a distinct advantage.
