Job Description
Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Duties to include: Interact with clients by chatting, listening to them and offering support when needed.
Assist with cooking, cleaning, shopping and laundry within the service and encourage clients to partake in these activitiesAssist with the provision of nutritionally sound meals for clients
Assist clients with practical daily living skills
Accompany clients on social outings, appointments etc
Undertake driving duties in Galway Simon Community vehicles and/or own vehicle (where the participant has a full, clean and relevant license)
Assist in the maintenance of infection control and hygiene standards
Provide a stimulating and creative environment which include social and community integration
Liaise with the team and the relevant keyworkers to support the achievement of identified care plans
Participate in social and recreational activities
Provide administration support such as reviewing client files, photocopying, shredding, answering the telephone etc.
