Job Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and passionate Digital Marketing professional with a strong focus on organic social media management and omnichannel content creation. This role is both strategic and results driven, requiring a candidate with strong business acumen to lead the planning, creation, and optimisation of engaging, insight-led content across multiple social and digital touchpoints.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering best-in-class B2C social community management, alongside the development and execution of integrated omnichannel content strategies across owned and earned platforms. While email marketing, website optimisation, and digital performance remain important aspects of the role, the core focus is on building impactful social-first content ecosystems that drive engagement, inspire travel, and convert audiences into visitors.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in organic social media and digital omnichannel content management across multiple brands as well as the planning and execution of digital strategies, email and websites management, performance and analytics and personalisation.They will have a creative and innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
The candidate will be part of our Demand Development division which drive domestic demand for holidays at home by marketing Ireland’s four regional experience brands: Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s Ancient East, Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands and Dublin.
Note: Our partner agency, Tourism Ireland, has the responsibility of marketing the Island of Ireland to overseas holidaymakers. We work very closely in partnership with them as they develop global campaigns.

Strategic- Lead the strategic direction for organic social media across all primary brands (Discover Ireland, Ireland’s Ancient East, Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands and Visit Dublin), ensuring a cohesive, audience-first approach tailored to each platform.
- Own the development and rollout of a social-first, omnichannel content strategy informed by audience insights, cultural trends, and platform innovation.
- Drive content ideation and storytelling frameworks that translate brand propositions into compelling, shareable, and high-performing content.
- Identify and lead content creation projects, ensuring concepts are creatively strong, insight-driven, and aligned with campaign and brand objectives.
- Shape how content flows seamlessly across channels (social, web, email), ensuring consistency and amplification of key messages.
- Contribute to broader digital marketing strategy, ensuring social and content are central to campaign planning and execution.
- Provide input into SEO, GEO, SEM, and personalisation strategies, ensuring content is discoverable, relevant, and optimised across the digital ecosystem.
- Lead always-on organic social media management, including publishing, community engagement, and real-time content optimisation.
- Own the end-to-end omnichannel content lifecycle: ideation, creation, planning, publishing, and performance optimisation.
- Develop and maintain content calendars aligned with campaigns, seasonal moments, and audience behaviours.
- Ensure content is adapted effectively across platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, web), maximising reach and engagement.
- Collaborate with creative teams and agencies to deliver high-quality, platform-native content (video, imagery, copy).
- Monitor social and content performance, using analytics to optimise content strategy and improve engagement and conversion.
- Support content integration across DiscoverIreland.ie and VisitDublin.com, ensuring alignment with social storytelling and SEO best practices.
- Work closely with CMS teams to ensure content is accurate, engaging, and optimised for user experience and discoverability.
- Collaborate with the Consumer Insights & Planning team to embed learnings into content strategies.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and coordinate with agency partners on content delivery and performance.
- Support budget tracking and administrative responsibilities where required.
- Carry out all other duties as required and participate as a full member of the Digital Marketing Team by supporting different work projects, as required, from time to time.
Person Specification
In order to be eligible to apply for this role you must have / demonstrate in your application form the following:
- A minimum of three years of related experience in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on organic social media management and content-led growth.
- Proven success in building and managing engaged social communities and delivering high-performing content strategies across multiple platforms.
- Demonstrable experience in omnichannel content planning, creation, and distribution, with a social-first mindset.
- Ability to move seamlessly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in working in a busy demanding environment across multiple disciplines and ability to easily move from strategy to execution, prioritising of tasks based on the biggest business impact.
Experience in at least two of the following:
- Experience in organic Social Media Management
- Experience in omni-channel content development and dissemination
- Social led campaign creation and execution
- Ability to optimise campaigns using data-based insights
- Demonstrate experience in content testing, experimentation and personalisation via 3rd party tools.
- Experience in all aspects of website maintenance, including content management and optimisation
- Working knowledge of some of the following; Google Analytics, website CMS and CRM Marketing tools.
- A Professional Qualification (minimum Level 6 under the QQI Framework) in a related discipline is essential
