On behalf of our client, we are welcoming applications for an experienced Utilities Services Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of utilities and environmental services at a prestigious, high-profile industrial site in Dublin. This appointment comes at a key time as the current Site Manager prepares for retirement, and the successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive 12-month handover period to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
As a senior leadership position, you will play a pivotal role in delivering integrated and sustainable solutions across energy, water, waste, and carbon reduction, while ensuring the highest levels of operational excellence and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage all aspects of site utilities and environmental services operations.
- Act as primary point of contact for daily communication with client representatives.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with all legal, corporate, and health & safety responsibilities.
- Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team; oversee recruitment and role assignments.
- Evaluate technical and commercial elements of sub-contracted services.
- Manage site reporting, including daily, weekly, and monthly performance and financial updates.
- Maintain rigorous cost control and manage the commercial contract with full P&L responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements for site operations.
Candidate Profile
To be considered for this role, you will possess:
- A relevant Engineering Degree , Trade or equivalent (Mechanical, Electrical technical disciplines).
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in the utilities services sector, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role.
- A proven track record in operational and team leadership within a technical services environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels.
- Solid understanding of industrial utilities systems, including maintenance and fault resolution.
- Strong verbal, written, and technical English communication skills.
- Commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
- Experience working in process manufacturing sectors (e.g., food, beverage, pharma) with responsibility for Utilities Systems.
- Knowledge of industrial relations (IR), including handling disputes and conflict resolution on unionised sites.
- Six Sigma or equivalent lean process improvement qualifications.
- Involvement in the design and/or upgrade of industrial utility systems.
- Work with a respected international leader in environmental and utilities services.
