Tax Manager

Morgan McKinley is working with a leading accountancy firm in Cork who are looking for a Tax Manager or Director to join their team.

Over the next 12 months, they are set to grow their business substantially and as part of their development, they are hiring a Taxation manager or director to work as part of their leadership team.

The firm is dynamic and friendly with a professional team and operates a flexible working environment.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing consultancy and planning assignments from inception to completion.
• Managing & Developing training, mentoring and development of the tax team.
• Overseeing and developing the firm's client tax portfolio
• Strengthening relationships with existing clients in addition to developing new external clients.
• Working with clients across all business sectors to develop new business opportunities
• Managing work in progress, billings and fee collection
• Overseeing tax compliance
• Liaising with other departments to identify tax planning opportunities for existing clients.

The desired candidate:

• You are CTA qualified (or equivalent)
• You have post qualification taxation experience within professional services
• Previous income and corporate tax experience
• Up-to-date knowledge of Irish income and corporate tax legislation
• Experience in VAT compliance/advisory is an advantage
• You have strong leadership skills and have a proven record in building and working with a team
• You have excellent relationship management skills
• You have excellent organisational skills

• Extensive knowledge of Sage Personal Tax and Relate CT is an advantage
