We are now searching for an experienced Composition Supervisor who will join the Composition team in Kilkenny and contribute to the production, 16+ show. The dates you will be required are from 22nd of June 2026 and the term of this contract will be until 6th of November 2026.

This role is based in our studio in Kilkenny which is in the Republic of Ireland, unfortunately no option to Freelance.
About the role
As a Toon Boom compositing supervisor, your role is to supervise, guide and manage the composition department. We really value can-do attitudes here at Lighthouse. If you are someone who thinks outside the box and looks for solutions, not problems, then you will fit right in.
What you will be doing -Supervise and guide the compositing team creatively and technically
Keep the compositing department on an achievable and consistent delivery schedule
Review all animatic and breakdown notes for comp in Shotgun, supplying artistic solutions to problems
Responsible for the composition render guidelines and technical breakdown of shots/scenes
When required, assist the composition department artists with the following tasks
Render background elements from Adobe Photoshop, and animation sequences from Harmony
Layer each provided sequence/scene using ToonBoom Harmony
Add camera-moves, masks, filters, blurs, colour-adjustments, particle effects, time-effects and anything else that generally falls under the umbrella of 2D compositing
Archive relevant comp material for partial reuse in the futureReview final picture with the director for any changes that may be required before lock and delivery to client.
The above is not exhaustive and from time to time you may be asked to carry out other tasks.
What we are looking for -
At least 2+ years of experience as a Compositing Supervisor
Expert knowledge in Toon boom Harmony is essential
Experience in Shotgrid/Flow is considered a plus
Be driven and able to work effectively on an independent basis
Fluent in English
Ability to communicate well in a fast-paced and creative environment
Must possess excellent time management skills with the utmost respect for deadlines
Be available on messaging systems and by emails during working hours
Must be willing to relocate to Kilkenny
