About the CE Supervisor Role:

The Community Employment (CE) Scheme in Ireland, funded by the Department of Social Protection (DSP), is a labour market activation programme designed to support long-term unemployed individuals and those distanced from the labour market. It provides part-time, temporary work placements in community-based organisations.

The CE Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the success and sustainability of a CE project. As the operational and developmental lead, the Supervisor ensures the smooth running of the project, from daily coordination to strategic planning. Their ability to identify and maximise placement opportunities directly influences participant engagement and the achievement of meaningful progression targets, such as further education, training, or employment.

Maintain high standards of compliance, reporting, and interagency collaboration is essential to securing continued funding from the Department of Social Protection, thereby safeguarding the future of the project and its impact on the community.

Qualifications:
  • Major Award at 3rd Level of NFQ Level 6 or higher, is preferable – particularly in Business/Financial - Administration, Training, Human Resources, Project Management.
Experience:
  • Previous supervisory and people management experience relevant to post (3 years minimum).
  • Previous experience in Administration, Project Management and/or Training or other relevant positions
