Senior CMMS Engineer role overview:

The Senior CMMS Engineer serves as a key technical resource responsible for supporting the accuracy, integrity, and optimization of asset and maintenance data within Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). This is an onsite role based in Ballydine, County Tipperary.
Operating within a structured project environment, this role requires validation of equipment information, performs technical data reviews, and prepares and cleanses data for system migration and implementation activities. The position works closely with project managers and cross-functional stakeholders to track project progress, communicate updates, and ensure system data aligns with operational and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical, technical, and organizational skills to manage complex datasets, support system improvements, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance maintenance and asset management processes.

Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of equipment and asset information prior to entry into the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Review, validate, and enter technical asset and maintenance data into CMMS platforms while ensuring consistency with established data standards and project requirements.
  • Translate, cleanse, and structure raw equipment and maintenance data in preparation for system migration, implementation, and ongoing system optimization.
  • Support data migration activities by validating legacy system data, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring equipment hierarchies and asset attributes are accurately mapped.
  • Assist in the preparation of client project documentation and status reports while tracking progress against project timelines and milestones.
  • Communicate proactively with the stakeholders regarding data discrepancies, project deviations, or delays that may impact project delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and client stakeholders to gather equipment information, validate asset data, and support successful CMMS implementation.
  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings to review project progress, communicate updates, and support change management activities associated with CMMS deployments.
  • Utilize data management and analysis tools, including advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting platforms, to review, analyse, and organize asset data.
  • Support continuous improvement and optimization initiatives related to asset data management, CMMS configuration, and maintenance processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records related to system updates, asset data standards, and project activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience and Key Competencies:

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree, or trade certification, in Engineering, Maintenance, Asset Management, or a related technical discipline. Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
  • 3 plus years of experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, asset management systems, or similar maintenance data platforms.
  • Strong computer proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, including the ability to organize, analyse, and manipulate large datasets.
  • Knowledge of maintenance, calibration, or asset management processes and familiarity with applicable industry regulations and best practices.
  • Experience using data visualization or analytics tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, or Power BI to support reporting and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review, validate, and maintain accurate technical data and system records.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities within a high-volume, fast-paced project environment while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical information to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams while also working independently to manage assigned responsibilities.
  • A proactive and analytical mindset with the ability to identify data discrepancies, support problem-solving, and contribute to process improvements.
  • Professional certifications such as Smartsheet, Maximo, SAP, or Lean Six Sigma are considered advantageous.
