MTS, a provider of laboratory services to the construction sector, is seeking a Construction Material Test Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations in Carlow.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and test construction material samples in accordance with laboratory testing procedures and standards
- Conduct laboratory testing on materials, including concrete, aggregates, soils, asphalt, and related construction materials
- Maintain accurate records and report test results
- Follow quality control procedures and health & safety requirements
- Ensure laboratory equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean and organised condition
- Assist with sample collection, storage, and preparation
- Support laboratory operations and technical staff as required
- Previous laboratory or construction materials testing experience is beneficial but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, disciplined, and quality-focused approach to work
- Qualification or studies in Science, Engineering, Construction, Materials Science, or a related field are advantageous
- Experience in quality assurance or laboratory environments is beneficial
- Applicants must be legally permitted to work in Ireland
- Good English communication skills required for reporting and health & safety purposes
