Financial Accountant

Morgan McKinley is excited to partner with a Killarney-based firm to recruit a Financial Accountant (Newly Qualified or Part-Qualified). Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the production of monthly management accounts and detailed schedules.
• Contributing to the preparation of consolidated group financial statements.
• Generating monthly reporting packs while meeting all internal deadlines.
• Conducting variance analysis and investigating significant financial fluctuations.
• Leading the month-end closing process to ensure data integrity and timely reporting.

Requirements:

• Certification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or part-qualified with substantial experience).
• Experience: 1-4 years in finance, preferably within the financial services or banking sectors.
• Technical Skills: Proven track record in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end cycles.
• Compliance: A solid grasp of financial controls and regulatory requirements.
• Communication: Comfortable managing stakeholder relationships and resolving client queries.
