We are actively seeking a motivated and reliable Kitchen Delivery Assistant to join our dedicated team at New Ross Meals on Wheels. This role is vital in supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen and ensuring our service users receive nutritious meals delivered with care.
Main Purpose of the Role:As a Kitchen Delivery Assistant, you will work closely with the cook, management, volunteers, and other staff to provide exceptional meal services tailored to the needs of our service users.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the cook in preparing healthy, nutritious meals by washing and preparing vegetables daily.
Ensure all kitchen areas are thoroughly sanitized at the end of each working day.Adhere strictly to the kitchen cleaning rota, including cleaning ovens, fridges, freezers, and workstations daily.
Accurately plate meals according to management instructions to meet service user requirements.
Assist with the timely and friendly delivery of meals to our service users.
Build familiarity with clients to understand their habits and behaviors, and promptly report any concerns to the service manager.
Desirable Skills and Attributes: Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to hygiene and cleanliness.Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently under supervision.
Empathy and a caring nature towards service users.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices is an advantage.
