Hours: Monday–Saturday (Rotating Shifts: 7am Week 1 / 4am Week 2)

Your New Job as Maintenance Supervisor

As Maintenance Supervisor your job will focus on assisting the Maintenance Manager, dealing with the coordination of PM’s as well as liaising closely with engineers & vendors etc. Joining an existing team of four maintenance technicians you will also spend 50% of your time hands on working on equipment & plant maintenance.

What You'll Do

In the Maintenance Supervisor job day to day your job will include:

  • Mechanical repairs to a wide range of equipment & processes. These will include high speed packing, automation, electro/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems and facilities maintenance are just some of the engineering elements that will be encountered
  • Identify and carry out preventative maintenance outside formal maintenance programs
  • Fully responsible for technical support requirements for production lines and their supporting processes
  • Use knowledge and available materials to ensure production downtime is kept to an absolute minimum
  • Setting up and changing over machines for different products
  • General facility maintenance

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Must have a relevant trade qualification with strong aptitude and wide-ranging mechanical skills and or Electrical and or fitter skills

Ability to read mechanical schematic drawings, use multi meter and troubleshoot electrical faults
Good understanding of automation and an automated environment: comfortable with modern equipment control interfaces

Automation literate: comfortable with modern equipment control interfaces

Must be willing and be able to start work at 4am and 7am on a rotation basis (week 1 – 7am / Week 2 – 4am and so on and so forth) and you will work two Saturdays in four in a typical month getting a day in lieu instead.

You will need to speak fluent English, and have some prior supervisory experience in a maintenance dept/team in a manufacturing/production environment.
