Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivery Planning:
- Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize travel time.
- Prioritize deliveries based on urgency and distance.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure it is safe and roadworthy.
- Report any mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Take care to protect items during transportation.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service, including delivering items to the correct address and answering any questions.
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery notes and proof of delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage.
- Adherence to Regulations:
- Comply with all relevant road traffic regulations and company policies.
- Drive defensively and safely at all times.
- Valid Driver's License: A clean driving record is essential.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy items.
- Time Management Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Customer Service Skills: Friendly and helpful demeanour.
- Attention to Detail: Accurate and thorough in completing tasks.
- Reliable and Punctual: Consistent attendance and timekeeping.
