HGV Mechanic

Name of employer: O Toole Transport limited Description of employment: Job Title HGV Mechanic, Visually checks, tests or uses test equipment to diagnose engine and mechanical faults, Removes, dismantles, repairs and replaces defective parts and prepares new parts using appropriate tools; Reassembles, tests, adjusts and tunes the appropriate parts/systems, Carries out routine maintenance checks on oil and air filters, brakes and other vehicle parts/systems, Maintenance of fleet of vehicles, Ensuring all vehicles remain fit for purpose and in optimal running condition, Completing day to day running repairs, Completing monthly inspections, Diagnosing faults and malfunctions, Preventative maintenance and repair of vehicles, Follow warranty procedures and ensure relevant paperwork is complete, Liaise with management on vehicle progress and defects that may need attention, Ensure job cards and relevant paperwork is completed accurately, and Maintain a clean and tidy workshop environment, following health and safety practices, Minimum annual remuneration €50000 per year.
