Our client, Armorum Limited, based in Co. Dublin, is currently seeking Crane Mechanics for immediate start at their two facilities in Co. Dublin.
Key Responsibilities and Duties: To diagnose, repair and maintain a variety of cranes and heavy equipment to ensure they operate safely and efficiently
To perform both preventative maintenance and breakdown response, working with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systemsTo perform inspection, maintenance, and repair work on mobile and static cranes, including hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
To diagnose faults in engines, transmissions, and other crane components using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
To overhaul and service diesel and heavy-duty engines used in cranes and other heavy machinery
To conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
To replace or repair worn or defective parts and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications
To carry out testing and calibration of crane systems after repairs
To maintain accurate service and repair records in accordance with company procedures
To ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
To collaborate with operators, engineers, and management to plan maintenance and repair schedules
To keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and well-organized
Requirements: Candidates must have the requisite experience and knowledge to perform all job duties listed above
Trade qualification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or equivalentMinimum 3–5 years of experience working on cranes (e.g., mobile cranes, tower cranes, or overhead cranes) and other heavy equipment in a field service capacity
Experience working on engines such as Cummins, Liebherr, Caterpillar, MTU
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical controls
Ability to interpret technical drawings, service manuals, and diagnostic data
Experience using computerized diagnostic and calibration tools
Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues efficiently.

Annual Remuneration: €56,784.00; Pay Rate €28.00 per hour
