Financial Accountant - Dublin

A major Irish-owned food and beverage wholesaler are looking to hire a skilled and dedicated Financial Accountant to provide support to the finance and management teams, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. Responsibilities:

• Supports finance and management by managing Balance Sheet and P&L, preparing GL reconciliations, and overseeing the Fixed Asset Register
• Acts as the central point for AR/AP issue resolution and prepares cash flow forecasts through business liaison
• Handles weekly, monthly, and quarterly period-end reporting, including management accounts, and assists with HMRC submissions and external audits
• Focuses on understanding and improving margin reporting, identifying and implementing control/compliance enhancements, and maintaining procedure documentation
• Provides timely financial information for business needs and collaborates on Budget, Forecast, and 3-Year Plans, while also supporting the ERP system implementation

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 2 years PQE
• Experience of working in a fast-paced organisation, ideally as part of a controls focused finance team with a track-record of delivering high quality results
• Stakeholder management skills with ability to build relationships, internally and externally
• A self-motivated approach to work - can do attitude, well organised to effectively prioritise and deliver high quality results
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, learn quickly and proactively anticipate the needs of the finance and management team
• Excellent analytical skills and excel skills
• Strong communication skills
