Responsibilities:

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Sustainability Associate - Life Cycle Carbon to join our Sustainability Consultancy practice, based in Dublin 2, Ireland. Our team is now established as a leading consultancy in the Irish market and with an ever-growing global reach and are the first Irish sustainability consultancy to be recognised as a LEED Proven Provider.

As a Sustainability Associate, you will be supporting our carbon and general sustainability building services in Ireland. The position will require knowledge in building construction technologies and methodologies.

As the field of sustainability is rapidly evolving, you will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of our services through upskilling, market research and knowledge-sharing. You will join forces with our already existing sustainability team.

We envisage success in this role to include;
  • Fulfilling the supporting role of Whole Life Cycle Analysis on multiple projects.
  • Providing detailed analysis on project embodied carbon data and guide project teams to low carbon benchmarks and solutions.
  • Supporting our LEED Project Managers on multiple projects.
  • Collaborating with design and construction teams on LEED, WELL, HPI, BREEAM and other types of certification programs.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, prepare meeting agendas and notes. Ensure that accurate records are kept.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with building owners, design, construction, and operational teams. Understand the role of each team member in achieving targets and be able to communicate it effectively.
  • Coordinating internally with our team of in-house experts to develop effective strategies on energy and carbon reduction, healthy buildings, and other disciplines in the sustainability field.
  • Participating in the development and delivery of external training programs.
  • Contributing to internal organizational excellence and strategic planning.
  • Embracing and improving upon our existing green and healthy workplace.
  • Fostering a commitment to excellence in respect to client service and team collaboration.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 3+ years of relevant experience working in the Design or Construction Field partnered with a Bachelor’s Degree level qualification in build environment or Sustainability related fields.

You should also have active LEED AP or commitment to take LEED AP exam within 3 months of employment start.

  • Knowledge of sustainability, building design and construction and green building certifications.
  • Experience with OneClick LCA or other similar WLCA software’s including EC3, Tally etc.
  • Proven presentation and communication skills to both teams and clients.
  • Experience with teamwork, managing resources and time.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and information to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and familiarity with Adobe CS.
