We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Experienced Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive general building experience and the ability to lead renovation projects in private homes, large-scale residential developments, and commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of general maintenance and repair tasks across buildings, facilities, equipment, apartments, houses, and grounds.
Undertake carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting tasks.
Repair and maintain structures such as floors, showers, sinks, walls, roofs, and carpets.
Conduct minor troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments of door locks, hinges, heating, ventilation, air conditioning units, and appliances.
Service and hook up appliances and emergency equipment.
Report mechanical malfunctions to relevant parties and coordinate with contractors as necessary.
Assist with moving furniture and equipment across various facilities and sites.
Identify projects requiring higher-skilled professionals and help arrange external services when needed.
Update and maintain work logs for site requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in general building maintenance, with expertise in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills.
Ability to source materials and small items efficiently to prevent delays in repair completion.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Strong organisational and reporting skills, with the ability to keep management updated on work progress and site status.
Additional Responsibilities:
Complete property repairs and maintenance, including painting, minor electrical and plumbing repairs, and fixture/fitting repairs.
Execute work orders as assigned by the client or Property Manager.
Complete refurbishments and prepare vacant units for occupancy, including snagging and quality checks.
Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Report daily to the Scheduling Manager to provide updates on work progress and customer requests.
