Our client is a leading large-scale Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider delivering high-performance warehousing, distribution, and value-added services for major national and international brands. With ongoing growth and expansion, they are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead their flagship operation.

The Role

As General Manager, you will hold full operational and strategic leadership for a high-volume, fast-paced 3PL site. You will drive operational excellence, ensure full compliance with regulatory standards-including HPRA requirements-and create a high-performing culture built on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

This is a critical leadership role, ideal for someone with deep 3PL/warehouse & pharmaceutical expertise with a proven track record of leading large teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership
  • Lead day-to-day warehouse, logistics, and distribution operations across a large, complex site.
  • Deliver on all SLAs, KPIs, cost targets, and service-level commitments.
  • Oversee resource planning, forecasting, and performance optimisation.
  • Implement Lean/CI initiatives to drive efficiency and operational excellence.
People Leadership
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a large multi-disciplinary team, including Operations Managers, Supervisors, and frontline colleagues.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage workforce planning, recruitment, coaching, and succession development.
Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure full compliance with HPRA guidelines, GDP/GMP standards, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Champion Health & Safety, ensuring a safe and compliant environment at all times.
  • Oversee audit readiness, quality assurance processes, and documentation control.
  • Manage risk assessments, incident reporting, and corrective action plans.
Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong working relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as the main point of escalation for service performance, operational issues, and customer engagement.
  • Support commercial teams with contract management, solution design, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 7+ years in senior leadership roles within 3PL, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong expertise in large-scale warehouse management, logistics workflows, and process optimisation.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams through change, growth, and performance improvement.
  • Extensive experience with compliance, particularly HPRA, GDP/GMP, and regulated environments.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing operational budgets, P&L, and commercial decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement qualifications (desirable).
