About the Finance Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Finance Assistant to join a busy and collaborative finance team within a purpose-driven organisation based in Dublin 8. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial controls, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting the finance and corporate services teams with a range of financial and administrative duties.

This is a hybrid role, with one day per week required in the office and the remainder remote.

For You:

Location: Dublin 8 (Hybrid – 1 day per week in office)
Hours: 21 hours per week
Salary: €40,000+ Pro-Rata (DOE)

Annual Leave: 23 days (pro rata)

The Ideal Finance Assistant

Accounting Technician (IATI), Part-Qualified Accountant, or equivalent qualification.
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a finance or accounts role.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines.
Strong IT skills, with experience using accounting software packages.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant

Process supplier invoices and payments in line with organisational deadlines and financial controls.
Administer staff expense claims in compliance with internal procedures and Revenue requirements.
Support the preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Contribute to annual budgeting processes by analysing costs and forecasting expenditure.
Assist with quarterly management reports and financial accounts.
Support procurement and tendering processes in line with organisational policy.
Liaise with external payroll and pension providers to ensure salary and reporting accuracy.
Prepare and submit monthly Revenue reporting requirements.
Maintain cost allocation records and process journals in the finance system.
Assist with internal and external audits throughout the year.
Support the review and maintenance of finance policies and procedures.

Provide financial information for funders and advisory fora as required.
