Health & Safety Officer

Our client, a leading food production facility based in Tipperary, is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role will lead site Health and Safety and Environmental compliance while supporting continuous improvement across operations.

• Drive and strengthen the site Health and Safety culture
• Ensure compliance with current Health and Safety legislation and industry standards
• Conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions
• Complete and update risk assessments and develop safe systems of work
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, ensuring effective follow up
• Maintain and communicate the site Emergency Plan
• Lead external Health and Safety and Environmental audits
• Manage training, inductions and training records
• Maintain Environmental and Energy Management Systems, including ISO 50001 compliance
• Carry out regular site inspections and maintain accurate records

• Relevant Health and Safety and Environmental qualification with experience in a similar manufacturing role
• Strong knowledge of legislation and compliance standards
• Excellent IT, organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced, results driven environment
• High level of attention to detail
