ABOUT THE LAND DEVELOPMENT AGENCY
The Land Development Agency (LDA) is a key Government Commercial Semi-State Body that delivers social and affordable housing on State and other lands. It is overseen by an independent board of directors and is funded with €5 billion of equity capital committed by the Government.It is also permitted to borrow up to €1.25bn.
The LDA has commenced construction on various state sourced lands and has a direct delivery pipeline in excess of 19,000 homes. It is also delivering affordable housing by working with private sector on an initiative called ‘Project Tosaigh’, which will yield a further 5,000 homes on land provided by housebuilders.
Additionally, the LDA is working on large-scale longer-term strategic areas by master-planning and bringing forward planning applications in locations such as Limerick Colbert Quarter, the Digital Hub in Dublin and Sandy Road in Galway.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be actively engaged in the administration and support of Land Development Agency, LDA IT systems, primarily responsible for the administration of our SharePoint environment, including design, implementation, and maintenance of workflows and other features.This position requires expertise in SharePoint administration, a strong understanding of collaboration tools, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and business units.
Reporting to the IT Operations & Security Manager, the primary role of the Senior Systems Consultant is to assist the IT Operations & Security Manager in managing and maintaining the critical IT functions of the LDA.
Purpose/Duties:
More specifically under the following key aspects of the role; the individual will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Systems Administration:
- - Security & Access Controls:
- - Collaboration and Integration Solutions:
Work closely with business units to understand document management & collaboration requirements. Work with the solution provider to design and implement solutions using SharePoint and other tools as appropriate. Integrate SharePoint with other business systems and applications as needed.
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Training and Documentation:
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Systems Management:
- Implement and manage data retention, backup and recovery processes for systems data. Ensure the integrity and availability of data.
- Working with the solution provider & other IT support vendors to plan and execute systems upgrades, ensuring that the environment is kept up to date.
Person Specifications/Requirements:
Essential experience/knowledge- A minimum of 3 years’ experience, of working in a commercial or public sector corporate environment.
- Technical Degree to bachelor level or other related third level qualification.
- Relevant experience including document management systems and process analysis.
- A good understanding of best practice Information Security.
- Experience of aligning IT solutions with business needs.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
- Understanding of aligning IT orientated solutions to business needs and requirements.
- Experience working with modern cloud-based technologies.
- Certification in SharePoint Administration.
- Experience with SharePoint migration projects.
- Experience with Power Automate.
- Knowledge of PowerShell and SharePoint scripting
