3Q Recruitment is currently hiring a Catering Assistant for a busy healthcare facility in Dublin 4. This role supports the preparation, delivery and service of nutritious meals for patients and staff in a structured clinical environment.
This is a frontline healthcare catering position where your contribution plays a key role in patient comfort, recovery and overall wellbeing. It is well suited to candidates with experience as a Catering Assistant, Kitchen Assistant or Food Service Assistant who value teamwork, routine and meaningful work.
Accessible Location – Public Transport Friendly
The facility is easily reached via several Dublin Bus routes, with strong links to Dublin City Centre and South Dublin, making it ideal for candidates who rely on public transport.
Key Responsibilities, As a Catering Assistant, you will:
Prepare and serve meals and beverages to patients and staffDeliver food to wards and assist patients respectfully during mealtimes
Maintain high standards of cleanliness across kitchens, trolleys and equipment
Adhere strictly to HACCP, food safety and infection control procedures
Stock ward pantries and manage food rotation correctly
Support the catering team to ensure smooth daily service
Work closely with ward staff and supervisors in a healthcare setting
Requirements, To be considered, you should have:
6–12 months’ experience in catering, kitchen or food service rolesPrevious healthcare or hospital catering experience (advantageous)
Working knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting
Five years of verifiable work references
A reliable, flexible and team-focused approach
Good communication skills and a professional attitude
Salary & Benefits
€17.53 per hourDouble pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
