Catering Assistant/Kitchen Porter New

Flexsource are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter / Catering Assistant on behalf of our clients based in Dublin.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, hard‑working individual to join a fast‑paced kitchen team and support daily catering operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and general kitchen equipment to ensure a continuous supply during service.
• Keep kitchen areas, workstations, storage rooms, and food preparation spaces clean, tidy and safe at all times.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, chopping and organising ingredients as required.
• Dispose of food waste and recyclables correctly, following all waste‑handling and recycling procedures.
• Ensure all hygiene, sanitation, and health & safety standards are maintained in line with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Clean floors, walls, fridges, freezers, shelves and various kitchen appliances as part of routine or scheduled deep‑clean procedures.
• Assist with receiving deliveries, checking items, unpacking goods and organising stock in appropriate storage locations.
• Provide assistance to the kitchen team during busy periods, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Follow instructions from chefs and supervisors, work collaboratively with team members, and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen porter or catering assistant role required
• Valid Manual Handling certificate
• Valid HACCP certificate
• Good level of English (spoken and understanding)
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic

Salary:

€14.15 per hour

Varied shifts available (including weekdays, weekends, and potential early/late shifts depending on client needs)
