Construction Manager
Role Summary
The Construction Manager will play a key role in the successful delivery of site projects, ensuring all works are executed efficiently, safely, and in line with specifications. The position requires a proactive individual capable of managing stakeholder relationships, driving performance standards, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Lead and coordinate regular project meetings (both virtual and in-person) throughout the project lifecycle
- Liaise with design, scheduling, production, fabrication, health & safety, and site management teams
- Conduct and lead site visits from project inception through to completion
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and specifications
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and legislative requirements
- Drive high-performance standards across all project activities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement across site operations
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to timelines
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget constraints
- Implement Lean principles to maximise efficiency and value across project activities
- Develop, track, and present KPIs to measure departmental and project performance
- Continuously improve systems, processes, and controls
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Maintain compliance with relevant industry certifications (e.g., ISO9001, EN1090)
- Proven experience in a Construction Manager or similar role
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project management, and site operations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead teams and drive performance outcomes
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Familiarity with Lean methodologies is advantageous
- Results-driven with a strong focus on quality and efficiency
- Highly organised with attention to detail
- Strong leadership and decision-making capability
- Adaptable and proactive approach to problem-solving
