Drug Rehabilitation Community Employment Scheme
Our CLG Drug Rehabilitation Community Employment Scheme supports individuals who are in recovery or working towards recovery from substance use. The scheme helps participants reconnect with their community and working life through training, education, work experience, and activities, while providing therapeutic support for drug and alcohol issues.
About the Role
This role involves ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of the facilities and grounds of our community-based addiction service in Cavan Town, including caretaking duties, general maintenance, and support for the upkeep of Acot House and its associated grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out gardening tasks such as weeding, pruning, watering, and hedge trimming.
- Use and maintain gardening tools and equipment to ensure they stay in good working order.
- Care for honey bees and hens located on the grounds.
- Undertake caretaking duties and assist in maintaining the upkeep of Acot House and its associated grounds.
- Keep workspaces and communal areas clean, organised, and presentable.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times while working on-site.
- Undertake general maintenance tasks, including painting, power washing, and minor repairs.
- Anticipate potential maintenance issues and address them proactively to prevent future problems.
- Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to the changing needs of the site and its operations.
