Care Assistant (ID) | South Dublin
Salary: €17.83 per HourLocation: South Dublin
We are seeking energetic and compassionate individuals to join our client’s team as a Care Assistant.
Our client is a voluntary organisation that provide a wide range of high-quality, person-centred services to adults with intellectual disabilities across South Dublin.
This is a rewarding and varied role where you will support individuals through a person-centred approach, promoting development, independence, and active participation in their local communities.
Our client has both Full-time and Part-time hours are available:
Full-time: 39 hours per weekPart-time: 19.5 hours per week
This role suits individuals who are creative, motivated, and genuinely passionate about supporting people with intellectual disabilities and autism.
The Role
As a Care Assistant, you will:
Design and deliver person-centred supports that empower individuals to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.Tailor support to each person’s needs, interests, and preferences in a respectful and individualised manner.
Facilitate access to community services, activities, and opportunities.
Encourage social inclusion by supporting individuals to develop relationships and take on valued community roles.
Support individuals in achieving their full potential and personal goals.
Work collaboratively to foster a positive, supportive team environment.
This is a hands-on role where your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on people’s daily lives.
Essential Criteria
A FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Social Care, Healthcare, or a relevant discipline (all 8 modules completed).Knowledge of the Health Act 2007 and an understanding of HIQA regulations.
Full, clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of the role.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active. listening.
A clear understanding of person-centred practice and individualised supports.
Flexibility to work across all areas of residential services.
A commitment to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and autism.
Two satisfactory references.
Garda Vetting clearance.
Desirable Criteria
A minimum of one year’s experience working in disability services.Experience supporting individuals with autism.
